Recap: Kibo Virtual Partner Summit 2022

We’re lucky to work with some of the most experienced and innovative partners in the commerce industry. And last week we had the chance to meet virtually with our partners at Kibo’s Annual Partner Summit!

This year’s Partner Summit focused on celebrating our 2022 wins, how we’re investing in our partner ecosystem, and our strategy and vision going into the new year.

“The commonality across all of our partnerships is that they are bound by a core desire to help retailers and brands—our clients—find and deliver the right solutions to support their digital transformation and modernization needs,” said Ava Aprin, Sr. Director of Global Partnerships.

If you were unable to attend our Partner Summit, here’s a summary of what we covered.

A Renewed Focus on Commerce

Ram Venkataraman, CEO at Kibo, outlined our renewed focus on commerce following the spin-off of the personalization business. “Kibo is the only composable commerce platform that supports experiences spanning the breadth of best-of-breed eCommerce, Order Management, and Subscriptions solutions,” said Ram.

In 2022, we’ve gained numerous accolades for our composable commerce solutions, including:

Our recent capital infusion, combined with our debt-free state, will allow us to build on our momentum, accelerate sales and marketing efforts, and quickly reach the next level of growth.

We’re also excited to announce our new Executive Leadership Team. Changes to our executive team were strategically made to support our company’s growth and focus on building composable solutions in eCommerce, order management, and subscriptions.

2022 Wins and 2023 Plans

While we’re looking forward to our strategic initiatives for 2023, we also wanted to celebrate our 2022 wins. Vinesh Vis, Chief Revenue Officer at Kibo, and Alexis Hail, Sr. Director of Product and Content Marketing at Kibo, reflected on some of our key wins with partners, including: OnlySky, Coastal Construction, Sound United, and Fortis Life Sciences.

Going into 2023, we’ll be hyper-focused on delivering Kibo’s composable commerce solutions: Headless eCommerce, Order Management, and Subscription Commerce. We’ve identified ICPs that align with our target areas to ensure we’re working with customers that have business problems we can successfully fix. By narrowing our segments, we’ll be able to effectively hear and respond to the voice of our customers.

2022 Product Recap

Kibo released many exciting product updates in 2022 to help our clients optimize operations and build better customer experiences. Sachin Sharma, VP of Product at Kibo, shared some of these updates, including Kibo Subscription Commerce. Kibo Subscription Commerce is more than a recurring billing software – our platform allows retailers to control the end-to-end subscription experience:

  • Business users can control strategies by naming products for subscription and setting subscription prices, discounts, frequencies, and trials.

  • Shoppers have the flexibility to self-manage subscriptions (order, swap, skip, cancel, etc.) and mix subscription & non-subscription items in a single checkout.

  • Customer service reps can create subscriptions, edit placed orders, and manage full or partial returns on behalf of the customer.

In addition to launching Kibo Subscription Commerce, we made enhancements to our Search, inventory management, and fulfillment functionalities.

2023 Co-Marketing Opportunities

Haley Bahm, Partner Marketing Manager, announced our revamped partner marketing program and plans to work with our partners to collaborate on thought leadership, co-prospecting, and internal enablement initiatives.

In 2022, we kicked off our Talking Shop video series with guest speakers from Contentful and PeakActivity, received guest blog posts from partners, including Perficient, and hosted webinars with Ignitiv and Contentful.

Partner Awards

While we value all of our partner relationships, each year we like to recognize partners that have exemplified our core values: Trust, Growth Mindset, and Client Obsession. Jake Green, Sr. Partner Manager at Kibo, announced the winners:

Growth Mindset: Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services has supported Kibo in the growth of our partnership, the partner ecosystem, and client footprint.

Trust: Summit Advisory Team

Summit Advisory Team built their business around trust — trust plays a critical role in how they effectively guide their customers to the right technology.

Client Obsessions: Ignitiv

All of our clients demonstrate this value, but Ignitiv has gone above and beyond in educating, guiding, and servicing clients, as well as working with Kibo in co-marketing activities.

We thank all our partners for the commitment, value, and support they provide our clients and teammates. We have done so much to date, but now it is time to take it to the next level – together with our valued partners.
