As I shared in my previous blog post, the team at Kibo is so excited about being named the sole Leader in The Forrester Wave™: B2C Commerce Solutions, Q2 2022.
In this report, Kibo Headless eCommerce received top rankings from Forrester (5 out of 5) for its architecture, extensibility, and performance.
To provide further insight into how we received these accolades in these key categories, I will go over the key details and features of our market-leading architecture, that makes it easy for our clients to create amazing digital commerce experiences.
Kibo is built on modern, cloud-native architecture
Kibo Headless eCommerce is an API-first, multitenant SaaS solution, providing seamless upgrades for the latest best-in-class capabilities and enabling rapid development velocity. We have full API coverage for all the commerce capabilities. In fact, Kibo Headless eCommerce is built from these APIs.
Our versionless software is released every two weeks and Kibo customers get updates automatically. We also provide release notes and documentation to make it easy for our customers to get the most out of each update.
Flexibility
Our Kibo Unified Commerce Platform is fully containerized on Kubernetes and runs on any public cloud infrastructure. The commerce microservices are independently scaled and auto-scale for greater performance.
Our solution can be consumed either as individual microservices, as a bundled pre-packaged business capability, or as a full solution such as Kibo Headless eCommerce. This provides flexibility and adaptability for our clients depending on their current needs and business strategy.
Prebuilt Integrations
Kibo has many prebuilt integrations with the embedded Tray.io marketplace. The iPaaS platform allows for hundreds of out of the box integrations. We also provide connectors to popular frontend providers, Omnichannel Storefront Starter Kits built on Nuxt.js and Next.js, and integrations to top CMS providers.
Extensibility and Performance
The Kibo architecture is fully extensible, both beside and inside the platform. This allows developers to build composable applications via our APIs and full set of SDKs to further extend the platform and cover unique use cases.
The API Extensions as a Service is a development framework built on Node.js to extend APIs and override the default API behavior. Our API Extensions are managed by us and provide for greater performance.
Kibo scored a perfect 5 out of 5 from Forrester in “Extensibility and Integration Tools” because we have a multitude of ways to extend the Kibo Headless eCommerce platform to support unique use cases.
In addition to our API extensions, the Kibo platform allows for data extensibility by extending domain objects with custom attributes and creating custom entities to track data not supported in the platform.
Also, Kibo Headless eCommerce utilizes Business Process Management, allowing for the customization of business process and workflow management.
Product Vision
Kibo was also a leader based on our product vision in Forrester’s evaluation. As mentioned previously, Kibo takes action on customer and analyst feedback to continuously work to enhance and build upon our innovative unified commerce platform, delivering personalized, omnichannel experiences for brands and retailers.
