Kibo Attends Retail’s Big Reunion: Shoptalk US 2022

Earlier this week, several of our Kibonauts attended Shoptalk US 2022 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Our team was excited to engage with Shoptalk US attendees, including many of our customers, in person again as we slowly return to normal post-pandemic.

Touted as “Retail’s Big Reunion,” event organizers for Shoptalk US 2022 expected 10,000 attendees to come out to participate in a full, action-packed agenda including 250+ speakers, 80+ sessions, lots of networking opportunities, and of course, 20+ epic parties.

Kibo was proud to sponsor this event, and we enjoyed meeting retailers from all over the world on the show floor at our booth #3020. If you attended Shoptalk US this year, we hope you stopped by our booth to pick up some swag, including Darn Tough socks (a Kibo client).

While at the event, our team had the chance to chat about all things Kibo with attendees, and we had some great conversations about the future of retail and digital commerce. Our chats included discussion around the shift to headless, the importance of scale and visibility for order management, and the increased need for personalizing the shopping experience, and of course, how the COVID-19 pandemic shook up our industry.

Also, our team had the chance to participate in hosted meetings, where we had the opportunity to meet with 60 brands for 15-minute chats about how Kibo can potentially assist with their digital commerce needs.

Individual meetings

While in Las Vegas, we also got to check in with several Kibo customers, many of whom were speaking at this event – Coach, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gap, Ralph Lauren, and many others shared their recent commerce challenges and solutions with conference attendees.

It wasn’t just all business at Shoptalk US. We also carved out plenty of time for fun this year, in conjunction with several of our partners.

We kicked off the week by co-hosting a dinner with our partner, Quantum Metric. For this event we went to the “top of the world” at The Strat Hotel, Casino & Skypod. What do we mean by top of the world? Well, our attendees got to dine more than 800 feet above Las Vegas.

Although not 800 feet in the air, we also hosted a couple of other partner events, including breakfast with Peak Activity and a dinner with Sophelle. It’s always fun to catch up with our partners while at events and to host these special gatherings for Shoptalk attendees.

Overall, Shoptalk US 2022 was a great success and our Kibonauts had a blast. If you’ve never attended this event before, we highly recommend going.

Kibo will also be attending Shoptalk Europe (June 6-8) in London and we are looking forward to connecting with our partners and customers in Europe this summer.

Oh, on the subject of London, our team also got to meet “The International Man of Mystery” himself, Austin Powers!
