Let’s walk through a real world scenario. A customer places a single order containing both direct ship and BOPIS items. KIBO enables this flexibility within a single transaction, providing estimated delivery dates for shipped items and real time pickup status for in store items.
In the interest of time, we’ll assume this order was placed and moved to the fulfillment of the BOPUS item.
KIBO’s native mobile fulfiller dashboard is designed for store associates on the go.
The interface is fully responsive and enables associates to manage orders across all stages and types assigned to their specific location.
Using a handheld device, the associate can efficiently pick and pack multiple orders at once, scanning product barcodes to verify inventory accuracy and move shipments to the next step.
Here, receives a BOPIS order and automatically assigns it to the appropriate store and initiates the fulfillment process.
KIBO generates a detailed pick list for the associate and outlines all items the associate needs to collect for the order. This assumes the items haven’t already been picked by the pick and pack process mentioned earlier.
Associates validate store stock in real time.
If an item is unavailable, KIBO’s workflow allows for immediate substitution. This ensures the sale is retained and customer satisfaction is maintained.
The workflow is fully configurable to accommodate last minute order modifications.
Picked items are placed in the designated in store pickup hold area. Larger items are labeled with a copy of the pick sheet for easy identification.
The associate clicks continue in KIBO’s interface to update the order status and prepare it for customer pickup.
KIBO sends an automated notification to the customer, letting them know that their order is ready for pickup.
Upon arrival, the customer confirms their identity by scanning a barcode or providing a signature. They can accept or cancel the order, collect their purchase, and complete the transaction with a secure, auditable handoff.
All of these steps are orchestrated by KIBO, ensuring a unified shopping life cycle and real time inventory and fulfillment across digital and physical touch points.
