KIBO allows merchants to customize user roles and permissions.
Right out of the box, KIBO provides sixteen roles that can be used like catalog manager, sales rep, promotion manager, and inventory manager.
But since KIBO also lets users create their own custom roles, there’s no limit to the number of roles that can be created.
As an API first platform, KIBO’s user interface is built on top of our APIs.
This means that anything you can do in the UI can also be done through KIBO’s APIs.
The same goes for user roles. They’re individual APIs that can be triggered from any other platform or software.
Roles can be defined all the way down to the create, update, read, and delete level, also known as the CRUD level.
Roles can be custom defined and associated with specific users.
For example, you may define a role that can read products but cannot update them or a role that can create products but not publish them.
Creating new roles in our business user friendly environment requires no coding, and it is all very intuitive.
Users can be assigned one or multiple roles that allow for visibility of specific sections of the admin UI, as well as the permissions within those individual sections.
