The four primary functions of the Order APIs allow orders to be created, queried for information, and searched for. Other actions provide the ability to edit different aspects of order information. Creating an order is the first step that should be taken when initiating the order process, though the proper catalog from the manufacturer should be determined in preparation for the creation request. The other calls can be made as needed once an order exists. It is also possible to import pre-existing orders into OMS through Historic Order Import.
