While order management is traditionally seen as an operational system, it has a major impact on the customer experience. Today’s consumers demand transparent experiences, which require real-time data like accurate delivery dates and product availability.
As a result, more companies are investing in modern order management systems with the core capabilities of distributed order routing, real-time inventory visibility, omnichannel fulfillment, and customer service. The need for these capabilities will likely drive the OMS market—Forrester predicts that the global market for OMS software will grow from $1 billion in 2021 to $1.9 billion in 2026.
To help businesses find a tech solution that can solve for their unique business problems, Forrester released its report, The Forrester Wave™: Order Management Systems, Q2 2023. And we’re excited to announce that Kibo is recognized as a Strong Performer and described as a “best fit for organizations seeking a commerce-first approach to order management” in the report.
According to the report, each of the vendors included in the assessment must fulfill Forester’s vendor inclusion criteria, including support for inventory- and order-related functions. The report states, “These vendors have a time-tested, mature, and packaged OMS product that supports complex and configurable end-to-end order lifecycle management across channels and between fulfillment hubs.”
Kibo had an “impressive second-place current-offering (functionality) score,” according to Emily Pfeiffer, Principal Analyst at Forrester in her blog post on the report. In the same post, Emily noted the vast functionality spread among vendors. “There is a 30% score difference for current offering from the first to third solution,” wrote Emily.
